What I’m Hearing From Our Community

Over the past several weeks, I’ve had the privilege of sitting down with neighbors, business owners, volunteers, retirees, families, and community members throughout our district. Whether over coffee, at community events, or in everyday conversations, I appreciate everyone who has taken the time to share their thoughts with me.

While each person brings their own experiences and perspectives, a few themes continue to come up:

✅ Open and honest communication

✅ Responsible financial stewardship

✅ Long-term planning for the future

✅ Accountability and transparency

✅ Leadership that listens and responds

I’ve learned that people want to feel informed, respected, and confident that decisions are being made thoughtfully and with the community’s best interests in mind.

These conversations matter. Listening is one of the most important parts of leadership, and I believe good decisions begin with understanding the needs and concerns of the people we serve.
