As another Wednesday Market season comes to a close, I’m feeling incredibly grateful. Spending the summer as a vendor with Elegant Embers gave me so much more than an opportunity to share my handmade creations. It gave me time with friends, neighbors, visitors, and community members who stopped by to visit week after week.
One of the things I enjoyed most was the conversations. Whether we talked about families, local events, community concerns, or simply shared a laugh, those connections meant the world to me.
Wednesday was a reminder of just how special that experience has been. The hours seemed to fly by, and before I knew it, the market day was over. That’s what happens when you’re surrounded by good people and great conversation.
Thank you to everyone who supported local vendors, stopped by the Elegant Embers booth, shared your stories, and helped make this market season so memorable. Waldport is a wonderful community, and I feel fortunate to be part of it.
As I continue meeting with residents throughout this campaign, I carry those conversations with me. Listening, learning, and staying connected to our community has always been important to me, and this summer at the Wednesday Market was a wonderful reminder of why.
